Mobile Phone Insurance - Something That You Should Have For Your Expensive Smartphone
Mobile phones aren't just mobile phones these days, they have become gadgets that have tons of applications and most of us can't even imagine our lives without them. And not just that they are fun to use, for many people some of the apps that they use on their phones are important for their jobs. Without those apps at hand at all times they can even lose their job, or remain way behind with their work.
Since mobile phones these days are expensive, there are actually phones that price over 400 GBP, mobile insurance was invented.
However, not many people make the decision of insuring their mobile phones, because they don't really think about this until their phone is smashed or stolen. If you are going to purchase a seriously high priced smartphone model, one of the first thing that should purchase along with it, is insurance.
Here are some reasons why. First of all, smartphone insurance is cheap, somewhere around 4-5 pounds a month, and usually if you decide to pay for a whole year, or for a semester up front, you can even save some money on your policy.
Secondly, smartphones are typically fragile. If your smartphone has an unfortunate meeting with the pavement of the sidewalk, it will probably end up at least with a cracked screen. I believe you wouldn't like to pay for another new smartphone due to an accident like this, because you didn't have insurance.
Thirdly, a smartphone can easily be stolen when you happen to be not looking. For example, I work in a large office with many employees, I went to the restroom one day and left my phone on my desk (yea, I don't usually take it with me when I have to sit on the can), and someone swiped it. Not only that I had to get a new one, but before I found the time to report it, the one who stole it, also managed to fatten up my bill by a couple of hundreds, which did not feel quite effortless for my wallet. Since insurance covers that too, I really regretted I didn't have a policy.
Of course, when I went to purchase my next iPhone 4, a smartphone insurance policy was the second thing on my list. Now, if you own a very expensive phone, to take care of its safety, I can recommend you two things:
If you don't want to pay for mobile phone insurance, have a protective case for it. Always keep it in your pocket, or if you're at the office, put it in a drawer, or somewhere out of sight and from where it cannot fall off.
Get mobile phone insurance, since it's not very expensive and not only that it covers your phone for accidents, theft and fraudulent calls, it provides even world wide coverage, so if you break your phone while out of the country, it is going to still be repaired or if that's impossible, you'll receive a new one particular.
